Nya McKenzie, DPT
Nya McKenzie, DPT is a licensed physical therapist with over 12 years experience. She graduated cum laude from Howard University with a B.S. in Health Science. Nya obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. USC’s Physical Therapy program is ranked #1 in the nation by US News and World Report.

Nya practiced traditional physical therapy in various settings throughout the Washington DC metro area where she honed her orthopedic examination and treatment skills prior to relocating to NYC. While living in NYC, Nya completed a vigorous 2-year Pilates training and certification with BASI and STOTT Pilates. She also began her training with The Herman and Wallace Institute to become a Pelvic Floor Practitioner. Nya practiced Pilates Based Physical Therapy and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation in Brooklyn Heights, NY.

Nya has also completed additional training to become a Myofascial Release Practitioner with John F. Barnes, a leading authority in MFR. MFR has further allowed her to treat holistically
the mind, body and attitude of her patients.

As a proud mother of three, Nya is passionate about helping women navigate their perinatal wellness journey and treating moms with prior physical limitations. She is equally passionate in creating safe, comfortable spaces that facilitate healing and restoration for all genders. Through her unique approach of combining traditional physical therapy, Pilates and current evidence based care she has proven to be very successful in the treatment and maintenance of neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
Nya is grateful to be able to fulfill her dream of practicing Pilates Based Physical Therapy as a pelvic floor practitioner using a holistic approach. Pilates Based Physical Therapy

Each session is one-on-one including a full body Postural Assessment, movement analysis and dynamic-assisted stretching.
